4. From al-‘Ala’ ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Ya‘qub, from his father, from him, with the wording: “I fight the people.”

Muslim alone narrated it.

5. From Sufyan, from Abu Salih, the freedman of al-Taw’amah, from him.

Ahmad alone narrated it (2/475), and its chain is good.

6. From Muhammad, from Abu Salamah, from him.

Ahmad alone also narrated it (2/502), and its chain is good.

7. From Yazid ibn Kaysan, from Abu Hazim, from him.

Ahmad alone narrated it (2/527), and its chain is authentic according to Muslim’s criteria.

8. From ‘Asim, from Ziyad ibn Qays, from him, with the wording: “We fight the people….”

Al-Nasa’i narrated it, and its chain is good.

9. From Hammam ibn Munabbih, from him, with the wording: “I shall continue to fight….”

Ahmad narrated it (2/314) with a chain meeting the criteria of both al-Bukhari and Muslim.

10. From ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi ‘Amrah, from him, with Hammam’s wording.

Ahmad narrated it (2/482), and it likewise meets the criteria of both al-Bukhari and Muslim.

11. From Muhammad ibn ‘Ajlan, who said: I heard my father narrate from him with the wording of al-‘Ala’ ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman from his father.
