of its narrators are trustworthy.”
Al-Mundhiri said (3/132–133; 4/294):
“Ahmad narrated it, and its narrators are trustworthy, except Yazid ibn Abi Malik, who is trustworthy, though some considered him somewhat weak.”
350 — “If I live, Allah willing, until next year, I shall fast the ninth, lest I miss the day of Ashura.”
Al-Tabarani narrated it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (3/99/2) by two routes from Ahmad ibn Yunus, who said: Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated to us, from al-Qasim ibn Abbas, from Abd Allah ibn Umayr, from Ibn Abbas, attributing it to the Prophet.
I say: This is an authentic chain of transmission; all of its narrators are trustworthy.
351 — “O Allah, whoever wrongs and frightens the people of Medina, frighten him. Upon him be the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. Neither repentance nor ransom will be accepted from him.”
Al-Tabarani narrated it in al-Awsat (1/125/2): Ruh ibn al-Faraj, Abu al-Zinba', narrated to us; Yahya ibn Bukayr narrated to us; al-Layth ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from Hisham ibn Urwah, from Musa ibn Uqbah, from Ata ibn Yasar, from Ubadah ibn al-Samit, attributing it to the Prophet. He said:
“No one narrated it from Musa except Hisham; al-Layth alone narrated it.”
I say: This is an authentic chain of transmission. Its narrators are trustworthy and were relied upon by both al-Bukhari and Muslim, apart from Ruh ibn al-Faraj, who is trustworthy, as stated in al-Taqrib.
