The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, entered upon me wearing a waist-wrapper and a cloak. He faced the direction of prayer and raised his hands ... Then she related it in abbreviated form, with similar wording.
I say: Its narrators are those of Muslim; however, Simāk—ibn Ḥarb—is inconsistent in his narrations from ʿIkrimah.
Secondly: from Anas ibn Mālik.
Muslim and others narrated it, and its documentation has previously been given under Hadith 83. *
4000—“Feed it to your water-drawing camel, and feed your slaves with it”—meaning, the earnings of the cupper.
Mālik (2/974), Aḥmad (5/435–436), Abū Dāwūd (3422), al-Tirmidhī (1277), Ibn Mājah (2166), and Ibn Ḥibbān in his Ṣaḥīḥ (1121, Mawārid) narrated it through several routes from al-Zuhrī, from Ḥarām ibn Saʿd ibn Muḥayyiṣah:
Muḥayyiṣah asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about the earnings of a cupper he had. The Prophet forbade him from them, but he continued asking him about the matter until he said: ... and then he mentioned it.
I say: This is an authentic chain of transmission, for this Ḥarām is trustworthy; Ibn Saʿd declared him trustworthy.
It is also corroborated: Abū ʿUfair al-Anṣārī narrated from Muḥammad ibn Sahl ibn Abū Ḥathmah, from Muḥayyiṣah ibn Masʿūd al-Anṣārī:
He had a slave who performed cupping, named Nāfiʿ Abū Ṭaybah. He went to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to ask him about his earnings. He said:
“Do not touch it.”
