Ibn Jurayj was corroborated by Sufyan—namely, al-Thawri—in Ibn Abi Dawud’s al-Baʿth (42/13), and by Musa ibn ʿUqbah in al-Bazzar’s Kashf al-Astar (1/412/871). Both narrated it from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir.
Remarkably, Ibn Lahiʿah agreed with all of them in both chain and wording in a narration recorded by al-Shajari in al-Amali, as I mentioned there in al-Daʿifah.
Moreover, Abu Sufyan differed from Abu al-Zubayr, narrating from Jabir, from Umm Mubashshir, who said: … and she related the hadith.
It was recorded by Ibn Hibban and others. Its documentation has already preceded under no. 1444, and it is also cited in al-Zilal under no. 875. *
3955—“Complete the rows (in another narration: ‘Straighten up, straighten up’) [and stand close together], for I see you behind my back [just as I see you before me].”
It was recorded by Muslim (2/30–31) and Abu ʿAwanah (2/43), through ʿAbd al-ʿAziz ibn Suhayb, from Anas, in a shortened Prophet-attributed version that omits the additions.
It was also recorded by Abu ʿAwanah, Ibn Hibban, no. 2170, and Ahmad (3/183 and 263), through Humayd, from Anas, who said:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, turned to face us when he stood to pray, before pronouncing the takbir, and said: … He then mentioned the hadith, which includes the first addition.
Thabit also corroborated him from Anas, with the second wording and the final addition.
It was recorded by Abu ʿAwanah and Ahmad (3/268).
