The second was Nafi‘, his freedman:
Al-Bukhari narrated it (3667 and 7019), as did Ahmad (2/107), through Sakhr, from him, with the same report.
As for the hadith of Abu Hurayrah, a number of narrators reported it from him:
The first was Sa‘id ibn al-Musayyib:
Al-Bukhari narrated it (3664, 7021, and 7475), Muslim (7/112), Ibn Hibban (6898), al-Nasa’i in al-Kubra (8116), Ibn Abi ‘Asim (1458), al-Bayhaqi in al-Dala’il (6/344), and al-Baghawi in Sharh al-Sunnah (3881), through several routes from al-Zuhri, from him, with the same report.
The second was Abu Salamah:
Ahmad narrated it (2/450), as did Ibn Abi Shaybah (12/21), Ibn Abi ‘Asim (1457), and al-Baghawi (3883), through Muhammad ibn ‘Amr, from him, with the same report.
Its chain is good.
The third was Abu Salih, from whom ‘Asim ibn Abi al-Najud narrated it:
Ahmad recorded it in al-Musnad (2/368) and al-Fada’il (149).
Its chain is good, in view of ‘Asim’s standing.
The fourth was Hammam:
Al-Bukhari recorded it (7022), as did al-Baghawi (3882).
The fifth was al-A‘raj:
Muslim recorded it (7/113).
