As for the hadith of Abu Hurayrah, it has several routes from him:
- Sa‘id ibn al-Musayyib:
It was narrated by al-Bukhari (2929), Muslim (8/184), Abu Dawud (4304), al-Tirmidhi (2215), Ibn Hibban (6746), al-Humaydi (1100), Abu Ya‘la (5878), and ‘Abd al-Razzaq (20781)—from whom Ahmad narrated it (2/271)—as well as Ibn Majah (4096), through two chains from al-Zuhri, from him, with this report.
- Hammam ibn Munabbih:
It was narrated by ‘Abd al-Razzaq in al-Musannaf (20782)—from whom Ahmad narrated it (2/319 and 530)—and, through his route, by al-Bukhari (3578), through Ma‘mar, from him, with this report.
- Al-A‘raj:
It was narrated by al-Bukhari (2928 and 3578), Muslim (8/184), Ibn Majah (4097), Ahmad (2/530), and Abu ‘Amr al-Dani in al-Sunan al-Waridah fi al-Fitan (452), through Abu al-Zinad, from him, with this report.
- Qays ibn Abi Hazim:
It was narrated by al-Bukhari (3591)—whose wording is cited here—Muslim (8/184), Ahmad (2/300 and 475), and Abu ‘Amr al-Dani (450), through Isma‘il ibn Abi Khalid, from him. He said: We came to Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, and he said: “I accompanied the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, for three years. Never in my life was I more eager to retain hadith than I was during those years. I heard him say”—and he gestured thus with his hand—: “…,” then he mentioned it.
