so I said, “My Lord, then they will smash my head and leave it like a loaf of bread!” He said, “Drive them out as they drove you out; campaign against them, and We shall support you. Spend, and We shall provide for you. Send forth an army, and We shall send five times its number; and fight those who disobey you with those who obey you.”
He said: “The people of Paradise are three: a just ruler who gives charity and is granted success; a man who is merciful and tender-hearted toward every relative and Muslim; and a chaste, self-restrained [charitable] man with dependents.
“The people of the Fire are five: the weak man who has no restraint; those among you who are mere followers, seeking neither family nor wealth; the traitor who betrays over every object of desire that comes within his reach, however insignificant; a man who neither begins nor ends his day except by deceiving you concerning your family and wealth”—and he mentioned miserliness or lying—“and the coarse, obscene person. Allah has revealed to me that you should be humble, so that none should boast over another or transgress against another.”
