3—As for the hadith of Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī:
It was narrated by al-Bukhārī (466), Muslim (7/108), al-Nasāʾī in al-Kubrā (8103), Ibn Ḥibbān (6861), Aḥmad in al-Musnad (3/18), al-Tirmidhī (3660), al-Dārimī (1/36), Ibn Saʿd (2/228 and 232), al-Baghawī in Sharḥ al-Sunnah (3821), and al-Khaṭīb in his History (13/63), through two routes from him, with the same wording.
5—As for the hadith of Abū al-Muʿallā ibn Lawdhān:
It was narrated by al-Tirmidhī (3659), Aḥmad (3/478 and 4/211), Ibn al-Sunnī (436), al-Dūlābī in al-Kunā (1/56), and al-Mizzī in Tahdhīb al-Kamāl (34/309).
Aḥmad also narrated it (3/477–478), but placed it among the narrations of Abū Saʿīd ibn al-Muʿallā.
Al-Ḥāfiẓ noted in Aṭrāf al-Musnad (7/86) that it likewise appears in the Musnad of Abū Yaʿlā.
Al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Kathīr said in Jāmiʿ al-Masānīd (14/125):
“It may be an error.”
He explicitly stated what is correct concerning it in al-Bidāyah wa al-Nihāyah (5/230).
I say: Its chain of transmission is weak, for Ibn Abī al-Muʿallā is unknown.
6—As for the hadith of Jundub ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Bajalī:
It was narrated by Muslim (7/108), al-Nasāʾī in al-Kubrā (11123), Abū ʿAwānah (1/401), Ibn Saʿd in al-Ṭabaqāt (2/240), al-Ṭabarānī in al-Kabīr (1686), al-Ḥākim (2/550), and al-Bayhaqī in al-Dalāʾil (7/176–177), through several routes from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn ʿAmr, from Zayd ibn Abī Unaysah, from ʿAmr ibn Murrah, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Ḥārith al-Najrānī, who said: “Jundub told me …” and then related it.
