Al-Mizzī commented on al-Nasāʾī’s narration from Anas in Tuḥfat al-Ashrāf (1/201):
“A group narrated it from Ḥumayd, adding ʿUbādah to the chain of transmission.”
It also has a supporting narration from al-Falatān ibn ʿĀṣim:
Al-Ṭabarānī narrated it in al-Kabīr (18/334–335/857 and 860), as did al-Bazzār (3384, al-Zawāʾid), Ibn Abī Shaybah in al-Muṣannaf (2/514–515), and Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim in al-Āḥād wa al-Mathānī (1040)—the latter two in abridged form—through several routes from ʿĀṣim ibn Kulayb, from his father, from al-Falatān … and he mentioned it in similar wording.
Al-Haythamī said in al-Majmaʿ (1) (3/178):
“Al-Ṭabarānī narrated it in al-Kabīr, and its narrators are those of the Ṣaḥīḥ.”
He also said (7/348): “Al-Bazzār narrated it, and its narrators are trustworthy.”
I say: These statements are subject to two objections:
First, neither of the two authors of the Ṣaḥīḥ included Kulayb at all.
Second, ʿĀṣim is merely truthful, as al-Ḥāfiẓ stated in al-Taqrīb.
Thus, the chain of transmission is good. *
3593—“I am going to tell you something, so do not be hasty until you have consulted your parents.” He then said: “Indeed, Allah has said: ‘O Prophet, say to your wives …’”—to the end of the two verses.
It is narrated in the hadith of ʿĀʾishah, and has several routes from her:
