A mass-transmitted hadith reported from a number of the Companions:
Al-Bukhari (1910 and 5202), Muslim (3/126), Ibn Majah (2061), and Ahmad (6/315) all recorded it from Umm Salamah, may Allah be pleased with her:

Muslim (3/125 and 4/194), al-Bayhaqi in al-Sunan (7/38) and in al-Dala’il (1/336), and Ahmad (6/105, 163, and 243) recorded it. Muslim includes a lengthy account of the oath of abstention, in which Aishah said:
“When twenty-nine nights had passed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me, beginning with me. I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, you swore not to enter upon us for a month, yet you entered after twenty-nine nights, which I had counted!’ He said: … and he mentioned it.”
Ahmad (2/56) also narrated it through another chain from Ibn Umar, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said, “A month is twenty-nine [days].” They mentioned that to Aishah, and she said:
