Al-Hasan said: Anas also told me that the boy was then one of my peers.
I say: Its chain of transmission is good. See the preceding hadith (3253).
As for the hadith of Aishah, Hisham ibn Urwah narrated it from his father, from her. She said:
Whenever the Bedouins came to the Messenger of Allah, they would ask him, “When will the Hour come?” He would look at the youngest person among them and say:
“If this one lives and old age does not overtake him, your own Hour will come upon you.”
It was recorded by Ibn Abi Shaybah in al-Musannaf (15/168/19405), and Muslim recorded it through his route. *
3498—Allah has guaranteed the one who goes forth in His path—going forth only to strive in My path, believing in Me and affirming My Messenger—that I shall either admit him to Paradise or return him to the home from which he set out, with whatever reward or spoils he has gained. By Him in whose Hand is Muhammad’s soul, no wound is inflicted in the path of Allah except that it will come on the Day of Resurrection as it was on the day it was inflicted: its colour will be the colour of blood, and its fragrance the fragrance of musk. By Him in whose Hand is Muhammad’s soul, were it not that I would impose hardship upon the Muslims, I would never remain behind any detachment going out in the path of Allah. But I do not have the means to equip them so that they may accompany me, nor can they bear to be left behind after me. By Him in whose Hand is Muhammad’s soul, I would love to fight in the path of Allah and be killed, then fight and be killed, then fight and be killed.
It was recorded by al-Bukhari (36), Muslim (6/33), Abu Awanah (5/24), and al-Bayhaqi
