I say: This is what he is referring to. He has another hadith through this same chain, except that, in place of “his grandfather,” he mentions Abu Hurayrah, concerning the hadith which curses whoever plays chess.
Ibn Hibban mentioned it in his biographical notice on him in al-Du‘afa’ (The Weak Narrators). He said (3/26):
“He relates from Musa ibn Ali reports for which he is not corroborated, and from other trustworthy narrators reports unlike those transmitted by the firmly reliable authorities.”
After citing it, Ibn Kathir said—after having stated, “Its chain of transmission is not established”:
“However, al-Bukhari and Muslim relate from Abu Hurayrah that a man said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, my wife has given birth to a black boy!’ He asked, ‘Do you have camels?’ He replied, ‘Yes.’ He asked, ‘What colour are they?’ He replied, ‘Red.’ He asked, ‘Are there any greyish ones among them?’ He replied, ‘Yes.’ He asked, ‘How did that come about?’ He replied, ‘Perhaps it is an inherited trait!’ He said, ‘Then this too may be an inherited trait!’ ...”

Ibn Abi Hatim cited it in Kitab al-‘Ilal (1/142), through the narration of Abu Yahya al-Himmani, from al-Thawri, from Muslim Abu [the original reads: Ibn] Farwah al-Juhani, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, from al-Bara’ ibn Azib, attributed directly to the Prophet. He said:
“I heard my father say: The mention of ‘from al-Bara’’ is not reliably preserved.”
Ibn Abi Hatim then said:
