Silsilat al-Ahadith al-SahihahNasir al-Din al-Albani

287 — “Shall I not tell you about the men among you who are destined for Paradise? The Prophet is in Paradise, the utterly truthful is in Paradise, the martyr is in Paradise, the child is in Paradise, and the man who visits his brother in a distant part of the city, visiting him for no reason but for Allah’s sake. And among your women who are destined for Paradise are the loving, fertile women, who return to their husbands; when one of them becomes angry, she comes and places her hand in her husband’s hand and says: ‘I shall not taste sleep until you are pleased.’”

Tamām al-Rāzī recorded it in al-Fawāʾid (folio 202/1), and Ibn ʿAsākir (2/87/2) recorded it from him in full. Abū Bakr al-Shāfiʿī recorded it in al-Fawāʾid (folios 115–116), and Abū Nuʿaym in al-Ḥilyah (4/303), its first half; while al-Nasāʾī recorded its latter half in ʿIshrat al-Nisāʾ (1/85/1), through the route of Khalaf ibn Khalīfah, from Abū Hāshim—that is, al-Rummānī—from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ʿAbbās, tracing it back to the Prophet ﷺ.

I say: This is a chain of transmission whose narrators are trustworthy and are narrators of Muslim, except that Khalaf—who was among Aḥmad’s shaykhs—became confused in his later years. We do not know whether he narrated it before this confusion, in which case it would be authentic, or afterward, in which case it would be weak. However, the hadith has corroborating reports by which it is strengthened, as will be explained.

The hadith has another route from Abū Hāshim. Al-Ṭabarānī recorded it in al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr (3/163/1), and Abū Nuʿaym recorded it from him, from Saʿīd ibn Zayd, from ʿAmr ibn Khālid, who said: “Abū Hāshim informed us of it.”

This ʿAmr is al-Wāsiṭī, and he is a liar, as stated in al-Majmaʿ (4/313); therefore, his corroboration is of no consequence.
