Silsilat al-Ahadith al-SahihahNasir al-Din al-Albani

opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him, and follows a path other than that of the believers, We shall leave him to what he has chosen and consign him to Hell—what an evil destination!” [Women 4:115]

No one possessed of sound reason and understanding can truly doubt that whoever opposes the way of the believers in any matter must be one of the two men mentioned above—and both alternatives are bitter. For it is certainly inconceivable that he should be right in what he rejects, while they should be wrong in what they say and believe. Yet Allah, Most High, says: “What is there after the truth except error?” [Jonah 10:32] Here the Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever says, ‘People have perished,’ is the most ruined among them.” Muslim narrated it in his Sahih.

There is no room here to point out the other hadiths that he has rejected through his barren intellect and profound ignorance, under the heading: “Hadiths with authentic chains that explicitly contradict the Book”! It is enough for the esteemed reader to know that he included this in the introduction to his book, which he entitled The Healing of the Breast by Denying the Punishment of the Grave—a punishment established by the Quran, the sunnah, and the consensus of the people of the Sunna and the community and the righteous predecessors. The title alone tells you all you need to know about its contents.

The same is true of his other book, Reminding Friends of the Prohibition of the Face Veil, which he mentioned in the aforesaid introduction (p. 8). There, as elsewhere, he is garrulous, excessively self-congratulatory, and given to elaborating upon his efforts in studies through which he acquired many qualifications, including “a doctorate in veterinary medicine”! Perhaps that is indeed his field of specialization; yet his love of prominence led him to write on matters in which he has no expertise, matters into which none but the leading scholars—those who fear Allah—can venture. The two books mentioned confirm that he has nothing to do with them; yet he is like a cat that imitates a lion’s might by puffing itself up! Listen to how he boasts of authoring the two books, saying—though we believe he is not truthful in this:

“Allah, blessed is His Name, knows that I did not write a letter or a word in either of them without first performing ablution and praying two units of prayer!”
