Al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Mizzī also included it through his chain in al-Tahdhīb (9/454–455). *
3236—“If any of you sells a sheep or a milk-camel, let him not leave its milk to accumulate in its udder.”
ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated it in al-Muṣannaf (8/198/14864), and through his chain al-Nasāʾī (2/214), Ibn Ḥibbān (7/224/4948), and Aḥmad (2/273–274) all narrated it from ʿAbd al-Razzāq, who said: Maʿmar informed us, from Yaḥyā ibn Abī Kathīr, who said: Abū Kathīr informed me that he heard Abū Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ... and he cited it.
I say: This is an authentic chain of transmission according to Muslim’s criteria.
ʿAlī ibn al-Mubārak also corroborated him, from Yaḥyā ibn Abī Kathīr, with the same report.
Aḥmad narrated it (4/481).
Its chain of transmission is also authentic.
The two Shaykhs, the compilers of the Sunan, and others have narrated it through numerous routes, with closely similar wordings, from Abū Hurayrah. They have been documented in detail in Aḥādīth al-Buyūʿ.
It is a strong supporting witness for Anas’s hadith: “He forbade the sale of animals whose milk has been allowed to accumulate in their udders.” I had included it in al-Ḍaʿīfah (4726) because of the weakness of its chain of transmission and, consequently, cited it in Ḍaʿīf al-Jāmiʿ; so it should be transferred out of both works. *
3237—“I fear for my Ummah only three things: avarice that is obeyed, a desire that is followed, and a leader of misguidance.”
Al-Bazzār narrated it in his Musnad (2/238/1602), as did al-Dūlābī in al-Kunā (1/16), Ibn Mandah in al-Maʿrifah (2/62/2), and Ibn ʿAsākir in Tārīkh Dimashq
