It was recorded by Ibn Abī Shaybah in al-Muṣannaf (15/302/19723), Aḥmad (4/319), Ibn Saʿd (3/257), Abū Yaʿlā (3/188/1613), Ibn ʿAsākir in Tārīkh Dimashq (12/658), and al-Ḥākim (3/389), who said:
“Authentic according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim.”
Al-Dhahabī agreed with him.

Yet I had no one from the Banū Asad ibn ʿAbd al-ʿUzzā with me, nor did I hope for anyone but him.”)
It was recorded by Ibn Abī Ḥātim in al-Tafsīr (2/175/1): Abū Zurʿah narrated to us: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Shaybah al-Ḥizāmī narrated to me: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Mughīrah ibn
