I say: Its chain of transmission is good, provided that ʿAbd al-Raḥmān retained it accurately; otherwise, Khālid ibn Maʿdān’s chain from al-Miqdām is more authentic.
Note: The name of the Companion who narrated this hadith has been omitted from al-Majmaʿ, where it consequently appears as follows: “From a man who had Companionship, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said …” I do not know whether this was due to al-Haythamī, the copyist, or the printer.
This hadith also has a corroborating report from the narration of ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr, attributed to the Prophet, with wording similar to that of Qays al-Judhāmī, except that it does not mention the third distinction. Thus, the distinctions are five, as stated in al-Majmaʿ. It says: “Al-Ṭabarānī narrated it, and its chain includes ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ziyād ibn Anʿam, who is weak.”
The final passage is corroborated by the hadith of Abū al-Dardāʾ, attributed to the Prophet, with the wording:
“The martyr will intercede for seventy members of his household.”
It was narrated by Abū Dāwūd (2522), Ibn Ḥibbān (1612), and Ibn ʿAsākir in al-Tārīkh (17/321/2), through a chain in which the status of the Successor is unknown, as explained in Ṣaḥīḥ Sunan Abī Dāwūd (2277) and al-Taʿlīq al-Raghīb (2/192).
Some of its passages have other corroborating reports in al-Majmaʿ; whoever wishes may consult them. *

As for the seller of musk, he will either give you some, or you will buy some from him, or you will find from him a pleasant fragrance. As for the blower of the bellows, he will either burn your clothes or you will find [from him] a foul smell.)
It was narrated by al-Bukhārī (2101 and 5534), Muslim (8/37–38), and Ibn Ḥibbān
