This is how it appears there, but it too is a typographical error, as is shown by the fact that its editor commented:
“In the manuscript: ‘al-Tabari.’”
I say: This is the correct reading, as our present verification demonstrates and confirms. I do not know why its editor did not retain it as it stands in the original!
Al-Suyuti likewise cited it in al-Durr al-Manthur (6/221), through the narration of ‘Abd ibn Humayd from Qatadah, and through his narration from al-Hasan—al-Basri—who said:
“While the Prophet ﷺ was delivering the Friday sermon, a caravan arrived in Medina, and they dispersed ...”
The hadith continues in a manner similar to the hadith under discussion. It makes no mention of the second and third Friday prayers, and that is correct, if Allah Most High wills.
I then found that al-Bayhaqi recorded the hadith in Shu‘ab al-Iman (5/235–236), through a weak chain from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, with a double break, like Qatadah’s hadith as recorded by Ibn Jarir. And Allah knows best.
Abu Dawud also recorded it in al-Marasil (105/62), through an authentic chain from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, who said:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the Friday prayer before the sermon, as on the two Eids. Then, on one Friday, while the Prophet ﷺ was delivering the sermon, having performed the Friday prayer, a man entered and said: ‘Dihyah ibn Khalifah has arrived with his merchandise.’ Whenever Dihyah arrived, his family would come out to greet him with tambourines. So the people went out, and Allah ﷿ revealed: ‘But when they see trade or diversion, they rush to it.’ The Prophet ﷺ therefore placed the Friday sermon before the prayer and delayed the prayer ...”
I say: This wording is rejected, in addition to having a double break in its chain.
