who was known as al-Zamin. Both were narrators for the two Ṣaḥīḥs. Al-Ḥāfiẓ said in al-Taqrīb:
“He and Bundār were like two matched racehorses, and they died in the same year.”
However, I have not found a biographical notice for Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-Narsī, who narrated from him. Al-Ṭabarānī narrated one hadith through him in al-Muʿjam al-Ṣaghīr (129/147—al-Rawḍ al-Naḍīr).

“ʿĀʾishah, may Allah be pleased with her, had made a vow to free a slave from among the descendants of Ishmael. Some captives from Banū al-ʿAnbar were taken, and when they were brought, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to her …” He then mentioned the hadith and said: “Thus he deemed them descendants of Ishmael.”
Livestock from the charity due was brought, and when he saw it, its beauty impressed him. He said:
“This is the livestock of my people.” Thus he made them his people. He said: “And he said:”
