ʿĀʾishah, his wife, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, in Paradise
3011—(“Would you not be pleased to be my wife in this world and the Hereafter?” I said, “Indeed, by Allah!” He said, “Then you are my wife in this world and the Hereafter.”)
Ibn Ḥibbān recorded it (7053, al-Iḥsān), as did al-Ḥākim (4/10), through the route of Saʿīd ibn Yaḥyā al-Umawī: My father told me: Abū al-ʿAnbas Saʿīd ibn Kathīr told me, from his father, who said: ʿĀʾishah told us that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, mentioned Fāṭimah. She said: I spoke, so he said … and then mentioned it.
Al-Ḥākim said: “This Abū al-ʿAnbas is trustworthy, and the hadith is authentic.” Al-Dhahabī concurred with him. In al-Fatḥ (7/108), al-Ḥāfiẓ attributed it only to Ibn Ḥibbān and made no comment on it.
The final statement also has another route from ʿĀʾishah. Al-Tirmidhī recorded it (3875), as did Ibn Ḥibbān (7052), through the route of Ibn Abī Mulaykah from her. Al-Tirmidhī said: “A singular hadith.”
A third route: Yūsuf ibn Yaʿqūb al-Mājishūn reported: My father told me, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Kaʿb ibn Mālik, from her.
Ibn Ḥibbān recorded it (7054), as did al-Ḥākim (4/13), who said: “Its chain of transmission is authentic.” Al-Dhahabī concurred with him.
