Silsilat al-Ahadith al-SahihahNasir al-Din al-Albani

your eyes will become sunken, and you will become emaciated”—and in another narration: “your soul will become weary.” “He who fasts perpetually has not fasted. Fasting three days of every month is equivalent to fasting the entire month.” I said: “I am able to do more than that.” He said: “Then observe the fast of David: he would fast one day and break his fast the next, and he would not flee when he met the enemy.”

It was recorded by al-Bukhari (1979), Muslim (3/164–165), al-Nasa'i (1/326), and Ahmad (2/188–189). Hajamat means: they became sunken or weak because of excessive night-wakefulness. Nahakat means: you became emaciated and weak. Nafahat means: you became tired and weary. Fath.

2856 — “This authority rests with Quraysh. No one will oppose them without Allah casting him face-down, so long as they uphold the religion.”

It was recorded by al-Bukhari (6/416 and 13/99), al-Darimi (2/242), Ibn Abi 'Asim in al-Sunnah (1112), Ahmad (4/94), and al-Tabarani (19/337 and 3/779–781), through the route of al-Zuhri, who said: Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im used to relate that, while he and a delegation from Quraysh were with Mu'awiyah, news reached Mu'awiyah that 'Abd Allah ibn 'Amr was relating that there would be a king from Qahtan. He became angry, stood up, praised Allah as He deserves to be praised, and then said:

“To proceed: I have learned that some men among you relate reports that are not found in the Book of Allah and are not transmitted from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Those are your ignorant ones. Beware of the vain wishes that lead their people astray. I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say...” He then mentioned the hadith.
