“Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ slaughtered a sheep, he would say: ‘Send some to Khadījah’s friends.’”
It was narrated by al-Bukhārī (3816, 3818, and 6004), Muslim (7/134)—whose wording is cited here—al-Tirmidhī (2018 and 3885), Aḥmad (6/58, 202, and 279), and al-Ṭabarānī in al-Kabīr (23/11/15), through various routes from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, from his father, from her.
Al-Ḥākim claimed that Muslim had omitted it, but he was mistaken. Al-Tirmidhī graded it authentic.
Note: In his biography of Khadījah in al-Iṣābah, al-Ḥāfiẓ attributed the hadith of ʿĀʾishah to the Ṣaḥīḥ, with this wording, and added: “He said: ‘Indeed, I love the one she loved.’” I have not found this addition in the Ṣaḥīḥ or in the other sources, except for one narration of Muslim through Ḥafṣ ibn Ghiyāth, from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, concerning this hadith. It adds that she said: “One day I angered him and said: ‘Khadījah?!’ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied: ‘I have been blessed with love for her.’”
2819 — “O people, I did not know of this until you heard it. Indeed, even the least of the Muslims may grant protection on behalf of them all.”
It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in al-Awsaṭ (2/296/2/4958), who said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yaḥyā ibn Bukayr narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Ibn Lahīʿah informed us; Mūsā ibn Jubayr informed us, from ʿIrāk ibn Mālik, from Abū Bakr ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Ḥārith ibn Hishām, from Umm Salamah: When Zaynab, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, sought permission from her husband, Abū al-ʿĀṣ ibn al-Rabīʿ, to go to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out as an emigrant, he gave her permission. So she came to him, and then
