“People will stand before the Lord of all worlds for the duration of half a day out of fifty thousand years; this will be made easy for the believer, like the time from when the sun begins to descend for sunset until it sets.” However, the wording “half a day” is singular and contradicts what has preceded. Allah knows best.
2818 — “Whenever something was brought to him, he would say: ‘Take it to so-and-so, for she was a friend of Khadījah. Go to the house of so-and-so, for she loved Khadījah.’”
Al-Bukhārī narrated it in al-Adab al-Mufrad (232), as did al-Bazzār in his Musnad (1904—al-Kashf), al-Dūlābī in al-Dhurriyyah al-Ṭāhirah (folio 9/1), and al-Ḥākim (4/175), through the route of Mubārak ibn Fuḍālah, from Thābit, from Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, who related it.
Al-Ḥākim said: “Its chain of transmission is authentic!” Al-Dhahabī concurred with him. Thus did the two of them say! Yet al-Dhahabī included this Ibn Fuḍālah among the weak narrators and said: “Aḥmad and al-Nasāʾī declared him weak, while Abū Zurʿah said: ‘He practised tadlīs [concealing defects in the chain].’ Abū Dāwūd and Abū Ḥātim said: ‘When he says, “He narrated to us,” he is trustworthy.’”
Al-Ḥāfiẓ said in al-Taqrīb: “Truthful, but practises tadlīs and taswiyah [omitting weak transmitters from a chain].” (1)
I say: As you can see, he did not explicitly state his transmission; thus, the chain is weak. Nevertheless, al-Ḥāfiẓ passed over it without comment in al-Fatḥ (10/435), though he attributed it to al-Adab al-Mufrad. Perhaps this was because it has a supporting report in the hadith of ʿĀʾishah, may Allah be pleased with her, who said:
