Perhaps this is an unestablished addition, for in al-Hasan’s biography in al-Tahdhib, al-Hafiz reports from al-Tirmidhi only that he deemed it singular. Al-Tabrizi did likewise in al-Mishkat (1036), which accords with the state of its chain of transmission, as you have seen. This is further confirmed by al-Hafiz’s statement in al-Talkhis (4/114): “Al-Uqayli declared it weak on account of al-Hasan ibn Muhammad, saying: ‘He is unknown.’”
Ibn Jurayj was corroborated regarding part of it. Abd al-Razzaq (5868) and Ibn Abi Shaybah (2/8) narrated from Sufyan ibn Uyaynah, from Abd Allah ibn Abi Yazid, that he heard Ibn Abbas being asked, “Is there a prostration in Surah Sad?” He replied, “Yes: ‘They are those whom Allah has guided, so follow their guidance.’” Its chain is authentic according to the criteria of al-Bukhari and Muslim. Al-Bukhari (3421 and 4807), the two compilers as well, and al-Bayhaqi (2/219) also narrated it through Mujahid, who said that Ibn Abbas was asked the same question, and so on.
In sum, the hadith under discussion is good at the very least, by virtue of the other route and the corroborating report—especially since al-Hakim and others, as mentioned above, authenticated its corroborating report. Indeed, al-Hafiz mentioned in al-Tahdhib that al-Khalili said of it: “A singular, authentic hadith.” Perhaps for this reason al-Nawawi said in al-Majmuʿ (4/64): “Al-Tirmidhi and others narrated it with a good chain of transmission.” And Allah, exalted is He, knows best.
2711 — “No child of Adam is born except that Satan touches him when he is born, whereupon he cries out because of Satan’s touch—except Mary and her son.”
It was narrated by al-Bukhari (3431 and 4548), Muslim (7/96), and Ahmad (2/233
