Abū Yaʿlā: “The Arabs would serve one another while travelling.” He then related it. It was said: al-muwāʾamah means conformity; that is, this sleep resembles sleeping at home, not sleeping while travelling. They faulted him for sleeping excessively.”
It also has a mursal corroborating report in al-Tawbīkh (243), from al-Suddī, who was Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān. The chain to him is weak.
2609 — “No body nourished by what is forbidden will enter Paradise.”
It was recorded by Abū Yaʿlā (1/29), from whom Ibn ʿAdī (304/2) narrated it; Ibn Ḥibbān in al-Ḍuʿafāʾ (2/155); ʿAbd ibn Ḥumayd in his Musnad (2/1); Abū Bakr al-Marwazī in his Musnad (nos. 51 and 52); al-Bazzār (p. 328); and al-Ḥākim (4/127), through the route of ʿAbd al-Wāḥid ibn Zayd, from Aslam al-Kūfī, from Murrah al-Ṭayyib, from Zayd ibn Arqam, from Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq, attributed to the Prophet. In another narration of Abū Yaʿlā, it is from him, from Farqad al-Sabakhī, from Murrah al-Ṭayyib, with the same wording.
Ibn ʿAdī said: “Al-Bukhārī said: ‘They abandoned ʿAbd al-Wāḥid ibn Zayd.’ Ibn Maʿīn said: ‘He is of no account.’ Al-Saʿdī said: ‘He is not a source of truthfulness.’” Al-Nasāʾī said: “He is not trustworthy.” For this reason, al-Haythamī said after the hadith in al-Zawāʾid: “ʿAbd al-Wāḥid is very weak.” And in Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid (10/293), he said: “It was narrated by Abū Yaʿlā, al-Bazzār, and al-Ṭabarānī in al-Awsaṭ. The narrators of Abū Yaʿlā are trustworthy, though there is disagreement concerning some of them.”
