7 – From Anas, the Prophet ﷺ said:
“No Muslim plants a sapling or sows a crop, and a bird, a human being, or a beast eats from it, except that it is recorded for him as charity.”
Narrated by al-Bukhari (2/67, European ed.), Muslim (5/28), and Ahmad (3/147).
8 – From Jabir, traced back to the Prophet:
“No Muslim plants a sapling without whatever is eaten from it being counted for him as charity; whatever is stolen from it is charity for him; whatever a wild animal consumes from it is charity for him; whatever the birds eat from it is charity for him; and no one diminishes it (that is, takes anything from it) except that it is written for him as charity—until the Day of Resurrection.”
(On the authority of Jabir):
Muslim related it from him. Muslim and Ahmad (3/391) also transmitted it through other chains in abridged form. It has a corroborating narration from Umm Mubashshir recorded by Muslim and Ahmad (6/362, 240), along with additional supporting reports cited by al-Mundhiri in al-Targhīb (3/224, 245).
