“It was reported by Ahmad and Abu Yaʿla, and the narrators in both their chains are trustworthy.” Al-Haythami said: “Al-Tabarani also reported it in al-Kabir and al-Awsat with similar wording.” It appears in al-Tabarani’s al-Awsat (2/227, Majmaʿ al-Bahrayn, Islamic University facsimile edition) through the route of Ibn Lahiʿah, from ʿAli ibn Dinar al-Hudhali, from Nuʿaym ibn Hammar, with this wording. Al-Dimyati said in al-Matjar al-Rabih (p. 383): “Ahmad and Abu Yaʿla reported it through two good chains of transmission.” Ibn Abi Shaybah (7/147/2) also reported it from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir as a mursal report.

2559. “The first company (1) to enter Paradise will be the poor Emigrants, through whom hardships are averted. When commanded, they hear and obey. Should one of them have a need to bring before the ruler, it is not fulfilled for him until he dies while it remains within his breast. On the Day of Resurrection, Allah, Exalted is He, will summon Paradise, and it will come with all its splendour and adornment. He will say: ‘Where are My servants who fought in My cause, were fought against and harmed in My cause, and strove in My cause? Enter Paradise.’ They will then enter it without reckoning. Then the angels will come and prostrate, saying: ‘Our Lord, we glorify You with Your praise night and day, and sanctify You. Who are these whom You have preferred over us?’ The Lord, Exalted is He, will say: ‘These are My servants who fought in My cause and were harmed in My cause.’ Then the angels will enter upon them through every gate: ‘Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured. How excellent is the final abode!’ [al-Raʿd: 24]”
