Al-Nasaʾi likewise reported it (2/59) through Sulayman ibn Musa, who said: Malik ibn Yukhāmir told us that Muʿadh ibn Jabal related it to them, but without mentioning the bed. At its beginning, he added: “Any Muslim man who fights in the path of Allah for the time between two milkings of a she-camel is assured of Paradise.” Ahmad (5/230–231) and al-Tirmidhi (1/311) likewise reported it in full, while al-Hakim (2/77) reported part of it. Both he and al-Tirmidhi authenticated it.
The final clause is corroborated by the hadith of Sahl ibn Hunayf, attributed to the Prophet: “Whoever sincerely asks Allah for martyrdom from his heart, Allah will cause him to attain the ranks of the martyrs, even if he dies in his bed.” It was reported by al-Darimi (2/205) and al-Hakim (2/77), who said: “Authentic according to the criteria of al-Bukhari and Muslim.” Al-Dhahabi concurred with him, and it is as they said. The first part is corroborated by the hadith of Abu al-Dardaʾ reported by Ahmad. Its narrators are trustworthy, but there is a break in its chain, which I identified in al-Taʿliq al-Raghib (2/167).
2557 — “Whenever people gather in an assembly and then disperse without remembering Allah, that assembly will be a cause of regret for them on the Day of Resurrection.”
Al-Tabarani reported it in al-Muʿjam al-Awsat (Islamic University photocopy, 4/434), and al-Bayhaqi in al-Shuʿab (1/400/533), through Shaddad ibn Saʿid al-Rasibi: Jabir ibn ʿAmr al-Rasibi narrated to us from ʿAbd Allah ibn Mughaffal, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said—and he cited it. He said: “It is not narrated from ʿAbd Allah ibn Mughaffal except through this chain of transmission.”
