Furthermore, Ibn Hibban’s wording—“He has two wet nurses in Paradise”—is a strong corroborating report for the hadith of ʿAmr. And Allah knows best.
2494 — “Behold, tribulation is here; behold, tribulation is here [he said this twice or three times], from where Satan’s horn rises [pointing with his hand toward the east; in one narration: Iraq].”
It is narrated from Ibn ʿUmar through several routes. The first is from Nafiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, who heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while facing east, say this. It was recorded by al-Bukhari (2/275 and 4/374), Muslim (8/180–181), and Ahmad (2/18 and 92), through several routes from Nafiʿ. The wording cited and the first addition are from Muslim. In one narration recorded by Ahmad: “He was standing at ʿAʾishah’s door and pointed with his hand toward the east.” This is also a narration of Muslim. Al-Bukhari’s wording in the first of the places cited is: “He stood to deliver a sermon and pointed toward ʿAʾishah’s dwelling.” In another narration of Muslim, it is at Hafsah’s door. I consider this anomalous.
The second route is from Salim, from Ibn ʿUmar, with wording like Nafiʿ’s first narration, except that he repeated the sentence three times and said, “There!” in place of, “Behold!” It was recorded by al-Bukhari (2/384 and 4/374), Muslim as well, and al-Tirmidhi (2/44), who said: “Good and authentic.”
