My knowledge; then the Fire will seize them.”
Al-Haythamī said: “Al-Ṭabarānī transmitted it in al-Awsaṭ and al-Kabīr. Its chain contains ʿAmr ibn Wāqid, who is abandoned according to al-Bukhārī and others, and has been accused of lying. Muḥammad ibn al-Mubārak al-Ṣūrī said: ‘He used to follow the ruler, but he was truthful.’ The rest of the narrators in al-Kabīr are narrators of the Ṣaḥīḥ.” It is found in al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr (20/83/158), through two chains of transmission from ʿAmr, with this wording.
4 and 5. As for the hadiths of al-Aswad and Abū Hurayrah, they were previously referenced under no. 1434. Neither mentions the newborn; what is meant by it is one whose parents were unbelievers.
2469 — “O family of Muḥammad! Whoever among you performs Hajj should enter consecration for an ʿumrah during his Hajj.”
Al-Ṭaḥāwī transmitted it in Sharḥ al-Maʿānī (1/379), as did Ibn Ḥibbān (987 and 988), Aḥmad (6/297 and 317), and Abū Yaʿlā (4/1669–1670), through several routes from Yazīd ibn Abī Ḥabīb, who said: Abū ʿImrān al-Jawnī related to me that he performed Hajj with his clients. He said: “I went to Umm Salamah and said, ‘O Mother of the Believers, I have never performed Hajj before. With which should I begin: Hajj or ʿumrah?’ She replied, ‘If you wish, perform ʿumrah before Hajj; and if you wish, after Hajj.’ Then I went to Ṣafiyyah, and she said the same to me. So I returned to Umm Salamah and informed her of what Ṣafiyyah had said. Umm Salamah then said: ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say...’” He then mentioned it.
I say: Its chain of transmission is authentic. All its narrators are trustworthy and are narrators of the two Ṣaḥīḥs, except Abū ʿImrān al-Jawnī—whose name was Aslam—and he is trustworthy.
