2400 — “This pumpkin—the gourd—is something with which we make our food more plentiful.”
It was recorded by al-Tirmidhi in al-Shamaʾil (p. 104), Ibn Majah (2/311), Ahmad (4/352), al-Tabarani in al-Muʿjam al-Kabir (2080 and 2085), and Abu al-Shaykh in Akhlaq al-Nabi (p. 214), through Ismaʿil ibn Abi Khalid, from Hakim ibn Jabir, from his father, who said: “I entered upon the Prophet in his home and found these gourds with him. I asked, ‘What is this?’ He replied,” and he then mentioned it.

He was a man among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, and we know of no hadith from him other than this one.”
2401 — “This pilgrimage, and thereafter remain at home.” He said this to his wives during the Farewell Pilgrimage.
It has been reported on the authority of Abu Waqid al-Laythi, Abu Hurayrah, Zaynab bint Jahsh, Sawdah bint Zamʿah, Umm Salamah, and ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿUmar.
- As for the hadith of Abu Waqid, it was recorded by Abu Dawud (1/272), Ahmad (5/218 and 219), al-Tabarani in al-Muʿjam al-Kabir (1/239/2), and Ibn ʿAsakir in al-Tarikh (16/32/2), all through Ahmad, from ʿAbd al-ʿAziz ibn Muhammad al-Darawardi, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Waqid ibn Abi Waqid, from his father:
