Jesus son of Mary; so acknowledge his standing.”
Ibn Hibban (2258) and al-Hakim (3/342) narrated it through al-Nadr ibn Muhammad: ʿIkrimah ibn ʿAmmar narrated to us, from Abu Zumayl, from Malik ibn Marthad, from his father, from him. Al-Hakim said: “Authentic according to the conditions of Muslim,” and al-Dhahabi concurred. I say: It is as they said, though ʿIkrimah ibn ʿAmmar has a slight weakness. Al-Hafiz said: “He is truthful but makes errors, and there is inconsistency in his narrations from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir.”
The second is from Malik ibn Dinar as a mursal report, except that he said “asceticism” in place of “humility.” Ibn Saʿd narrated it: Muslim ibn Dinar informed us; he said: Sallam ibn Miskin narrated to us; he said: Malik ibn Dinar narrated to us that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said—and he mentioned it. I say: This is an authentic mursal chain of transmission. Its narrators are trustworthy narrators of the two Sahihs, apart from Malik ibn Dinar, who is truthful.
The third is from Ibrahim al-Hijri, who attributed the report to the Prophet through Abdullah ibn Masʿud, with the wording: “Whoever wishes to see one who resembles Jesus son of Mary in appearance and character should look at Abu Dharr.” Al-Tabarani narrated it in al-Kabir (1/171/1–2). This is a weak, interrupted chain of transmission.
2344 — “Whoever testifies that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah will enter Paradise.”
It is cited in al-Jami al-Saghir as narrated by al-Bazzar from Ibn Umar. As for al-Haythami, he mentioned it in al-Majmaʿ (1/16–17) from Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, and said:
