I say: Its chain is good, Allah willing. Its narrators are trustworthy narrators of the two Shaykhs, apart from Hiṣān ibn al-Kāhil. Two trustworthy narrators reported from him, and Ibn Ḥibbān included him in al-Thiqāt (5/512). This hadith is in the same sense as other hadiths on the subject, some of them also from Muʿādh himself. Among them is the hadith of Anas from him, attributed to the Prophet: “Whoever dies testifying that there is no deity but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, sincerely from his heart, will enter Paradise.” It was recorded by Aḥmad (5/229) and al-Nasāʾī (1134).
I say: Its chain is authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs.

It was recorded by Ibn Mājah (2/595—the final hadith therein), Ibn Abī Ḥātim in his Tafsīr, and al-Bayhaqī in Shuʿab al-Īmān (1/265—the Indian edition), through Abū Muʿāwiyah, from al-Aʿmash, from Abū Ṣāliḥ, from Abū Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said it.
I say: This is an authentic chain according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs. Al-Būṣīrī said likewise in al-Zawāʾid (1/268), mentioning that Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah also recorded it in his Musnad. In al-Fatḥ (11/442—the Salafiyyah edition), al-Ḥāfiẓ attributed it to Aḥmad along with Ibn Mājah, saying: “With an authentic chain.” I have not found it in the Musnad except in the hadith of Abū Saʿīd, in a similar form (3/3–
