First: the reports in question are defective and cannot be adduced as evidence. If Allah wills, we may later find the opportunity to discuss them and expose their flaws in detail.
Second: even if some of them were sound, it would still be impermissible to oppose this authentic ḥadīth with them, for they merely recount an act of the Prophet ﷺ that could have been peculiar to him or subject to other possibilities that weaken their probative force. By contrast, the present narration is an explicit verbal statement addressed to the entire ummah, and therefore binding upon it. The principles of legal theory stipulate that, when a verbal statement and an action appear to conflict, the statement takes precedence, and a prohibitive text is given priority over a permissive one. This ḥadīth is both a verbal statement and a prohibition, so it must be preferred to the cited reports, even were they authentic.
The same reasoning applies to clasping shoulders (iltizām) and embracing (muʿānaqah): they are not legislated because the ḥadīth forbids them. Yet Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, said:
“When the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ met one another, they shook hands; and when they returned from a journey, they embraced.”
Al-Ṭabarānī narrated this in al-Awsat, and its transmitters are those of the Ṣaḥīḥ, as stated by al-Mundhirī (3/270) and al-Haythamī (8/36). Al-Bayhaqī (7/100) likewise reported with a sound chain from al-Shaʿbī who said:
“When the Companions of Muhammad ﷺ met, they would shake hands; and when they arrived from a journey, some of them would embrace others.”
Al-Bukhārī in al-Adab al-Mufrad (970) and Aḥmad (3/495) narrated from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allah who said:
“I heard that a certain man had heard a ḥadīth directly from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so I bought a camel, secured my saddle on it, and travelled for a month until I reached him in Syria. There I found ʿAbd Allāh ibn Unays. I said to the doorkeeper, ‘Tell him: Jābir is at the door.’ He asked, ‘Ibn ʿAbd Allah?’ I replied, ‘Yes.’ He came out with his garment trailing, embraced me and I embraced him.” — and the report continues.
