I say: This chain of transmission is authentic according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim. Both of them recorded it through another route from Abū Murrah—whose name was Yazīd—without the words, “and given security to whomever you have given security.” It is cited in Irwāʾ al-Ghalīl, in the chapter on voluntary prayer (no. 464).
It also has another route, narrated by ʿIyāḍ ibn ʿAbd Allah, from Makhramah ibn Sulaymān, from Kurayb, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: Umm Hānī bint Abī Ṭālib related to me ... the hadith in abbreviated form, including the additional wording. Abū Dāwūd (2763) and al-Ḥākim (4/54) recorded it without the addition. I say: Its chain is sound for corroborative reports, for its narrators are those of Muslim, except for this ʿIyāḍ—al-Fihrī of Egypt—who has some weakness.
2050 — “The supports of my pulpit are firmly established in Paradise.”
It has been reported in the hadiths of Umm Salamah and Abū Wāqid.

As for the hadith of Umm Salamah, ʿAmmār al-Duhānī narrates it from Abū Salamah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from Umm Salamah, attributing it to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with these words. It was recorded by al-Nasāʾī (1/113), Ibn Ḥibbān (1034), Ibn Saʿd in al-Ṭabaqāt (1/253), Abū Nuʿaym in al-Ḥilyah (7/248), and Aḥmad (6/289, 292, and 318). I say: Its chain of transmission is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim.

As for the hadith of Abū Wāqid, Abū Yaḥyā al-Ḥammānī narrated to us: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Amīn narrated to us, from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib, who heard Abū Wāqid al-Laythī say—then he mentioned it as a hadith attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Al-Ḥākim recorded it (3/532), and both he and al-Dhahabī remained silent concerning it. I say: Its chain is weak because of the weakness of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Amīn and Abū Yaḥyā al-Ḥammānī, whose name was ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān.
