2036 — “Every tie of association and lineage will be severed on the Day of Resurrection, except my tie of association and my lineage.”

It has been narrated on the authority of Abdullah ibn Abbas, Umar ibn al-Khattab, al-Miswar ibn Makhramah, and Abdullah ibn Umar.

1. As for the hadith of Ibn Abbas, it is narrated by Musa ibn Abd al-Aziz al-Adani: al-Hakam ibn Aban narrated to me from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, attributed to the Prophet. It was recorded by al-Mukhallis in Seven Sessions (51/1), al-Tabarani in al-Muʿjam al-Kabir (3/129/1), al-Khatib in al-Tarikh (10/271), al-Harawi in Condemnation of Speculative Theology (108/2), and al-Diya in al-Mukhtarah.
