1954 — “O Hassan, respond on behalf of the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, support him with the Holy Spirit.”
Al-Bukhari (1/116 and 7/109) and Muslim (7/163) narrated it from al-Zuhri, who said: Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf informed me that he heard Hassan ibn Thabit al-Ansari call Abu Hurayrah to bear witness, saying, “I adjure you by Allah: did you hear the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say this?” He then cited it. Abu Hurayrah said, “Yes.” Al-Zuhri also has another chain of transmission for it, which has preceded under “Respond on my behalf,” no. 930. It has a corroborating report with similar wording from the hadith of al-Baraʾ, which will come, Allah willing, under no. 1970; it has already appeared under no. 801.
1955 — “A group from my ummah will continue to prevail until Allah’s command comes to them, while they remain victorious.”
Al-Bukhari (4/187 and 8/149 and 189), Muslim (6/53), and Ahmad (4/244, 248, and 252) narrated it as a marfuʿ report from al-Mughirah ibn Shuʿbah. It has many corroborating reports from a number of the Companions. Some of them have been mentioned under hadith no. 270, and others will follow shortly, Allah willing.
1956 — “A group from my ummah will continue to prevail upon the truth until the Hour is established.”
Al-Hakim (4/449), al-Tayalisi (p. 9, no. 38), and al-Darimi from him narrated it.
