Ibn Simʿān also corroborated him from Ibn al-Munkadir, as recorded by Tammām in his Fawāʾid (163/1, Majmūʿ 27), Ibn Bishrān in his Amālī (28/121/2), and Ibn Lāl in his Ḥadīth (117/1). ʿAbd Allah ibn Ziyād al-Madanī also corroborated him, as recorded by Abū Saʿīd ibn al-Aʿrābī in his Muʿjam (79/1): ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd al-Ḥimānī narrated to us from him, with the same report.
However, Yazīd al-Raqāshī stands between Ibn al-Munkadir and Anas, as al-Baghawī narrated in Ḥadīth ʿAlī ibn al-Jaʿd (12/171/1), as did Abū Yaʿlā (3/1014): Ṣāliḥ—that is, Ibn Mālik—narrated to me: ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz—that is, Ibn ʿAbd Allah—narrated to us from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, who said: Yazīd al-Raqāshī narrated to us from Anas, with the same report. Hujayn ibn al-Muthannā corroborated him in Abū Yaʿlā’s work, narrating to us from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz—that is, al-Mājishūn—with the same report. Ibn ʿAsākir also recorded it (18/112/2).
I say: The narrators in this chain are trustworthy, apart from al-Raqāshī, who is weak.
Abū Yaʿlā narrated it in his Musnad (3/901), as did Ibn ʿAdī (233/2), from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Mutawakkil: Fuḍayl ibn Sulaymān narrated to us; ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Isḥāq narrated to us from al-Zuhrī, from Anas, attributed to the Prophet. He said: “No one narrates this except Fuḍayl ibn Sulaymān, through this chain from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Isḥāq.”
I say: He is truthful, though he makes many errors, as stated in al-Taqrīb; Muslim transmitted from him in his Ṣaḥīḥ. Al-Haythamī said in Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid (7/219): “Abū Yaʿlā narrated it through several chains, and the narrators of one of them are narrators of the Ṣaḥīḥ, apart from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Mutawakkil, who is trustworthy.”
I say: I have not found it in any of the sources available to me, and it is highly likely that it is in
