“Truthful, though he may sometimes err.” He was corroborated by Ishaq ibn Abd Allah ibn Abi Farwah, from Saʿid ibn Abi Saʿid, through the same chain, except that he said: “He made a sweeping gesture in front of Him, to His right, and to His left.” Al-Ajurri transmitted it in al-Shariʿah (p. 343).
