I say: The hadith is therefore good, in my view, when all its chains are taken together. And Allah knows best.
1859 — “I entered Paradise and was met by a young slave-girl. I asked, ‘To whom do you belong?’ She replied, ‘I belong to Zayd ibn Ḥārithah.’”
Ibn ʿAsākir narrated it (6/399/2) through two routes from Zayd ibn al-Ḥubāb, who said: Ḥusayn ibn Wāqid narrated to me from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Buraydah, from his father, in a report attributed to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
I say: This is an authentic chain according to Muslim’s criteria. In al-Jāmiʿ, the hadith is attributed to al-Rūyānī and al-Ḍiyāʾ in al-Mukhtārah, on the authority of Buraydah.
1860 — “Leave enough milk to stimulate more.”
It was narrated by al-Dārimī (2/88), Ibn Ḥibbān (1999), al-Ḥākim (3/237), Aḥmad and his son in Zawāʾid al-Musnad (4/76, 322, 339), and al-Ṭabarānī in al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr (8128–8131), through various routes from al-Aʿmash, from Yaʿqūb ibn Buḥayr, from Ḍirār ibn al-Azwar, who said: “My family sent me to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, with a lactating she-camel—in another version, a she-camel. I brought it to him, and he instructed me to milk it; then he said the above.”
In one narration, Aḥmad added: “Do not overstrain her.” This is also the narration of al-Ḥākim and one of al-Ṭabarānī’s narrations. Sufyān al-Thawrī differed from them, narrating from al-Aʿmash, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Sinān, from Ḍirār ibn al-Azwar, with the same wording. It was narrated by Aḥmad (4/311, 439), al-Ḥākim as well (3/260), and al-Ṭabarānī (8127).
I say: According to the first route, it is weak, because al-Dhahabī said of Yaʿqūb ibn Buḥayr: “He is unknown; al-Aʿmash alone narrated from him.”
