ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥārith also narrated it, through Darrāj, in the version recorded by Abū Nuʿaym.
I say: This chain of transmission is weak, but what follows corroborates it.
-
As for the hadith of Muʿāwiyah, al-Jurayrī narrated it from Ḥakīm ibn Muʿāwiyah, from him, attributed to the Prophet, with the same wording. It was reported by Aḥmad (5/3) and Ibn Ḥibbān (2618—Mawārid), where it appears as “seven years,” which is perhaps a typographical error; and by Abū Nuʿaym in al-Ḥilyah (6/205). Aḥmad added at its end: “A day will surely come when it is crowded.” Its chain of transmission is authentic.

As for the hadith of ʿUtbah ibn Ghazwān, Khālid ibn ʿUmayr al-ʿAdawī narrated it, saying: “ʿUtbah ibn Ghazwān addressed us, praising Allah and extolling Him. Then he said: To proceed ... We have indeed been told ...” He then mentioned it. It includes Aḥmad’s addition, and also adds: “because of the crush.” It was reported by Muslim (8/215) and Aḥmad (4/174).

As for the hadith of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Salām, Zurayq ibn Abī Zurayq narrated it from Muʿāwiyah ibn Qurrah, from him, attributed to the Prophet. It contains the addition in the wording: “People will crowd around it as thirsty camels crowd when they come to water after five days.” It was reported by al-Ṭabarānī in al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr (69/221/1), and from him by al-Ḍiyāʾ in al-Mukhtārah (58/180/1), who said: “Zurayq ibn Abī Zurayq was declared trustworthy by Yaḥyā ibn Maʿīn.”
I say: Ibn al-Junayd likewise declared him trustworthy, as stated in al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl (1/2/624). Al-Haythamī did not know him, and so he said in al-Majmaʿ (10/397), followed by al-Manāwī:
