“O Allah, Lord of Gabriel, Israfil, Michael, and Muhammad the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, I seek refuge in You from the Fire,” three times.
Ibn al-Sunni recorded it in The Deeds of Day and Night (101), as did al-Hakim (3/622); both he and al-Dhahabi made no comment on it.
I say: It is weak. Regarding Mubashshir ibn Abi Mulayh, Ibn Abi Hatim said (4/1/342): “He narrated from his father, and Shu‘bah narrated from him.” He mentioned no narrator criticism or accreditation concerning him. As for ‘Abbad ibn Sa‘id al-Basri, Ibn Abi Hatim gave him a biographical entry (3/1/80), citing narrations from ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad, the nephew of Juwayriyah ibn Asma’ al-Dab‘i, and this al-Ghassani, but mentioned no narrator criticism or accreditation concerning him. Al-Ghassani is weak. Al-Wasiti was Abu al-Hasan al-Tammar. Ibn Abi Hatim reported from his father (3/1/73): “There is nothing objectionable about him.”

Then he said: ‘Weigh him against a thousand of his community.’ So he weighed me against a thousand, and I outweighed them. He then said: ‘Leave him alone; for if you were to weigh him against his entire community, he would outweigh them.’”
Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir recorded it in al-Bidayah (2/275), saying: “Ibn Ishaq said: ‘We were narrated to by...”
