1538 — “Your ties of kinship, your ties of kinship!”
Ibn Hibban (2037) recorded it: Al-Hasan ibn Sufyan informed us; Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us; Abu Ahmad al-Zubayri narrated to us; Sufyan narrated to us from Sulayman al-Taymi, from Anas ibn Malik, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said during his illness: Then he mentioned it.
I say: This is an authentic chain of transmission. All its narrators are trustworthy narrators of al-Bukhari and Muslim, apart from al-Hasan ibn Sufyan al-Fasawi, who was a trustworthy memorizer.
1539 — “It was revealed concerning people from my community at the end of time who deny Allah’s divine decree”—meaning His saying, Exalted is He: “Taste the touch of Saqar. Indeed, We have created all things by divine decree.”
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu‘jam al-Kabir (5316) through Jarir ibn Hazim, from Sa‘id ibn ‘Amr ibn Ju‘dah al-Makhzumi, from Ibn Zurarah, from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
Ibn Shahin and Ibn Mardawayh also narrated it through ‘Amr ibn Abi Hafs, from Khalid ibn Salamah, from Sa‘id, with the same wording, except that he said: Ibn Zurarah al-Ansari. In a narration of Ibn Mandah and Ibn Mardawayh, it is: Ziyad ibn Abi Ziyad al-Ansari, from his father. Al-Hafiz said in al-Isabah: “That is what he stated, but the inconsistency in it comes from Hafs ibn Sulayman, who is weak.”
I say: The correct version is: Ibn Zurarah, because Jarir ibn Hazim corroborated him in the narration mentioned first. This escaped al-Hafiz, so he did not mention it at all; likewise, he failed to point out the weakness of its chain of transmission and to identify
