Thawr ibn Yazid also corroborated him from ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Maysarah in this narration, as recorded in Tuhfat al-Ashraf by al-Hafiz al-Mizzi (2/97). Al-Busiri said in Zawaʾid Ibn Majah (folio 168/1): “Its chain of transmission is authentic; its narrators are trustworthy.”

It was narrated by Ahmad (3/351): ʿAbd al-Samad and ʿAffan narrated to us; they said: Hammad narrated to us—
