Abū Nuʿaym also recorded it in al-Ḥilyah (7/365) through another route from al-Aʿmash, with the same report.

Abū Bakr al-Dāhirī differed from them, saying: “From al-Aʿmash, from Ḥabīb ibn Abī Thābit, from Ibn ʿUmar,” with the same report. Abū Nuʿaym recorded it (5/62–63) and said: “It is singular among the reports of Ḥabīb and al-Aʿmash; al-Dāhirī alone narrated it.” I say: He is abandoned, especially since the trustworthy narrators contradicted him; therefore, reliance is upon them.

940 — “Every religion has a moral quality, and the moral quality of Islam is modesty.”

It has been narrated from Anas and ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbbās.
