There is also a marfūʿ corroborative report narrated from Muʿādh ibn Sahl with the wording:

“Whoever says: Subḥāna-llāhi-l-ʿAẓīm (Glorified is Allah the Magnificent), a sapling will be planted for him in Paradise.”

It was recorded by Aḥmad (3/440). Although its chain is weak, it can be cited in support because the weakness is not severe.

65 – “For a man to commit fornication with ten women is easier for him than to commit fornication with his neighbor’s wife; and for a man to steal from ten houses is easier for him than to steal from his neighbor.”

It was transmitted by Aḥmad (6/8), al-Bukhārī in al-Adab al-Mufrad (no. 103), and al-Ṭabarānī in al-Kabīr (Majmūʿ 6/80/2) through the route of Muḥammad ibn Saʿd al-Anṣārī, who said: I heard Abū Ẓabya al-Kalāʿī say: I heard al-Miqdād ibn al-Aswad say:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his Companions, “What do you say regarding fornication?” They replied, “Allah and His Messenger have forbidden it, so it is forbidden until the Day of Resurrection.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then quoted the first half of the ḥadīth. He next asked them about theft, and they answered in the same manner as they had concerning fornication. He then quoted the second half.

I say: This isnād is good; all of its narrators are trustworthy. Al-Ḥāfiẓ’s remark about this al-Kalāʿī being “maqbūl”—meaning acceptable only when corroborated—does not apply, for Ibn Maʿīn declared him reliable. Al-Dāraquṭnī said, “There is nothing objectionable about him,” and Ibn Ḥibbān listed him among the reliable narrators (1/270). Therefore, he is an authoritative transmitter.
