It also has a weak corroborating report, narrated by Ibrāhīm ibn Yazīd from ʿAmr ibn Dīnār, from Jaʿfar ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī, from his father, from his grandfather, from ʿAlī, attributed to the Prophet, with the wording: “Go out and proclaim among the people, from Allah and not from His Messenger: May Allah curse whoever cuts down lote trees.”

Al-Bayhaqī recorded it, and al-Ṭaḥāwī (4/119) recorded something similar. This Ibrāhīm, al-Khūzī, is abandoned, and he was inconsistent in its chain of transmission, as al-Bayhaqī explained. Thus, reliance is on the preceding report. And Allah knows best.
