84 – Al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated: A king once banished one of his ministers after taking offense at him, and the minister was plunged into severe grief. One night, while he was traveling, a man who was with him recited these lines:
(Al-Ramal)
Keep a good opinion of the Lord who yesterday
Bestowed you kindness and corrected every flaw;
The Lord who met your needs in days gone by
Will surely meet those very needs tomorrow.
He said: The minister’s distress eased, and he ordered that the reciter be given ten thousand dirhams.
