Abu Bakr al-Qurashi narrated to me, from ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Saʿīd ibn Thawban, who said: I visited Zuhayr al-Bābī after he had gone blind, paying him a sick-call, and I kept expressing my sympathy for him. He said, “Take it easy; I would not be pleased to have my sight restored even for two pennies.”
