61 – Al-Qāsim ibn Hāshim told me; he said: al-Khaṭṭāb ibn ʿUthmān narrated to us, ⦗65⦘ Ibn Abī Fudayk narrated to us; he said: Saʿd ibn Saʿīd told me; he said: your father Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Fudayk told me; he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“No matter what trouble befell me, Gabriel would appear before me and say, ‘O Muḥammad, say: I place my trust in the Living One who never dies, and: Praise be to Allah who has taken neither a son nor a partner in sovereignty (Q 17:111),’—to the end of the verse.”
